Lisa Olivia Munn was conceived in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid is of Chinese heritage and was born within Vietnam. The father of her Winston Barrett Munn is from an American family which has strong roots in the South of America. Her parents separated when she was just two years old and she was raised by her stepfather and mother, a member of the United States Air Force. While the family left Oklahoma and resided in many locations, she was mainly raised at Tokyo, Japan. During this time, Olivia appeared in several local theater productions. Later she became a Japanese model. Olivia has been living with her parents in Los Angeles in order to fulfill her desire to become an actress and continued working towards her goal after the family moved back to the United States. Her acting journey began in a tiny part. Her career then began to take off after she was hired as Mily Acuna in the Hawaii-lensed TV show Beyond the Break (2006). In 2007, she played Rob Schneider's Receptionist. She hosts the popular podcasts "Formula D", "The Daily Nut", and "The Daily Nut". Following the TV show Beyond the Break, she has continued to surf. She also has black belts in Taekwondo. At the age of two, her mother got married. This time she married the son of a US Air Force serviceman. Although the family moved several times, the majority of her time was spent in Tokyo Japan which was the place that her stepfather was employed by the military. She was a journalist in the University of Oklahoma and also minored Japanese, dramatic arts and drama.
