Coleman is Lancashire-born. Coleman was head of the class of Arnold School, Blackpool and was awarded straight A's on her A levels. In response to questions about her Emmerdale role she replied she regretted having not had the typical university experience. Coleman was as Crystal Clear at the Edinburgh Festival in a troupe called In Yer Space, which she participated in when she was at the school. Her performance was well-received by the audience, and the show was praised by the critics. Coleman was chosen for the Emmerdale character Jasmine Thomas after auditioning with the drama school. Coleman received two nominations for awards in 2007. In 2007, the British Soap Awards nominated her for the title of best newcomer. In the National Television Awards, she received the award for most popular newcomer. In 2009 she won nominations for two categories which included Best Actress-Sexiest Women and Best Dramatic Performance. Coleman received a nomination for Best Actress at the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat announced at a Doctor Who press conference on 21 March that Coleman was the replacement for Karen Gillan as the companion of the Doctor since Arthur Darvill left the series, would be playing the role of Matt Smith. Moffat selected her because of the ease with which she worked alongside Smith as well as the fact that she could speak faster than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She's been on the scene for more than 30 years and is involved in numerous TV and film projects. She was more popular on television. Eva was in a number of parts on the screen, but two stand out in particular: The role of Dr. Maria Santos' role in All My Children as well as the character of Detective Natalia Boavistas' in CSI Miami. The role that she first appeared on television earned 2 Daytime Emmy nominations, and helped her develop her passion for music. Eva is not just an actor, but as well a philanthropist and businesswoman. She has been married thrice and is the mother of a child from her first husband.
