Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise (born Tina Louise) is a American author, singer and actor best known for playing Ginger Grant in Gilligan's Island. The musical Bettle performed in Two's Company was her first stage role in the 50s. In 1956, she made her big break on Broadway with Li'l Abner. That same year, she recorded her first album, It's Time to Tina. Her first appearance into Hollywood was when she played Griselda in God's Little Acre which was a 1958 film. The film received widespread praise. Louise won the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the year category. During this time, she studied at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her instructor. The actress joined CBS in 1964 to portray Ginger Grant. Louise had a successful career in Hollywood as well as Broadway, playing somber characters that reflected her reputation as a glamour doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The SG-1 series and Sanctuary, although she was a successful television director with numerous series, including Supernatural as well as The 100. Her family moved from Essex to Toronto, where she spent growing up and in adolescence. When she was selected in 1997 to play Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has been living in Vancouver ever since.
