Zoe-perry
Perry is she is Chicago native, birthed to Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Her first roles on television were two appearances on the show as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) on the ABC sitcom Roseanne, the character portrayed by her mother. However, her parents did not permit her to perform until she was an adult due to the negative effects that stress could have on their daughter. Perry shy and shy for acting in school, began performing in theater classes at Northwestern University because she wanted to make new friends. Perry left for New York, where she landed small roles in series such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. The feeling of homesickness caused Perry home to California which was where theatre jobs were readily available. Perry performed with her mom in The Other Place at Broadway at the end of 2013. Perry was in the show with the father of her character Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in 2015 in the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry appeared in 9 episodes of ABC's thriller The Family during 2016. In 2017, Perry played a supporting role in ABC's political thriller Scandal in which her father was the main character. She also played her younger Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon, an CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. The character was picked by auditions, even though she had a close relationship with the show.
