Ali MacGraw

Elizabeth Alice MacGraw better known as Ali MacGraw is an award-winning American actress, model, writer and activist for animal rights. She has been acclaimed for her roles in films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) and The Getaway, (1972). The daughter of an artistic family located in New York she wished to work in the field of art. When she was an assistant to photographers then she turned her attention to acting and modeling. Her name was highlighted in two of her films and won the Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer. MacGraw's 1970 film Love Story was an international smash, and earned the actress the Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. In just three years, she was named the number one female box-office participant in the entire world. In Grauman's Chinese Theater in the year 1972, she was able to have her name and footprints hand-engraved. She also appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, along with other films. The autobiography of MacGraw Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw was married three times.
